Gradara

Distance from Cattolica: 6 km
By car: take the statale Adriatica 16 in direction of Pesaroand you will find the exit for Gradara.
By bus:from Cattolica to Gradara line AS.PES (tel. 0721/6991).

An ancient medieval village that extends from the Montefeltro hills to the Adriatic coast. Enclosed inside a long city wall, it is raised the Gradara castle, a magnificent example of military architecture. Scene in which it had place, according to the legend, the tragic love story between Paolo and Francesca, the fortress recalls to the memory the splendors of the families that have governed it: Malatesta, Sforza and Della Rovere.

San Marino

Distance from Cattolica: 40 km
By car: take the highway A14 exit Rimini sud through the statale S.S. San Marino ( approximately 22 km frm the exit of the feeway).
By bus: from Rimini take the lines Bonelli (0541/372432)and Fratelli Benedettini (tel. 0549/903854).

Deep in the heart of Italy, rising up, looking out towards the sea is the small independent state, that over the centuries has maintained its freedom and independence, the Republic of San Marino. According to the legend this stonecutter went on the Titano mount and in the 301 after Christ he founded a small Christian community.

San Leo

Distance from Cattolica: 53 km

Montegridolfo

On the boundries of the Romagna and Marche regions is one of the best conserved medieval castles of the Rimini area: Montegridolfo. Considered one of the most beautiful villages of Italy, of ancient origin, cause of its strategic position it was a crash reason between Malatesta and Montefeltro.

Saludecio

Distace from Cattolica: 15 km
By car: as soon as from the casello of the highway following the indications turn on the left and enter on the street saludecese, as soon as exceeded the fraction of Pianventena to turn on the left following the indications for Saludecio.
By bus: line TRAM 124 from Riminito Morciano, San Giovanni in Marignano and Cattolica.

A few kilometres away from the coast, following the Conca Valley, the town of Saludecio can be seen on the skyline, with the elegant lines of the noble residences, towers and fortified wall. The main access to the country is the ancient "Porta Marina", an ancient gate that faces the sea. By bus: line TRAM 124 from Rimini to Morciano, San Giovanni in Marignano and Cattolica.

On a high hill of the Valconca, up on which deer once grazed and a monument of Diana rose, we find the country of Mondaino. Remembered from the reports of 300-400 like the “ Country of the Pacts”. Today is a place full of pleasant surprises, such as the circular public square, the castle with its panorama stretching away to the mountains and down to the sea, the picturesque streets and alley, stately mansion, a botanical park and a museum with afascinanting display of the fossilised remains of the animal that inhabited this territory millions of year ago. But above all the local residents, that are experts at organising fairs, festivals and other lively events.

Montefiore

Distance from Cattolica: 19 km
By car: take the road for Morciano di Romagna and continue covering the road that carry to Montefiore Conca-Tavoleto.

From as far away as Rimini, a massive fortress can be seen crouched on the horizon, a solid and perhaps even sinister tower fet among the splendid greenery of the surrounding hills. This is the castle of Montefiore, one of the most beautiful and known under the Malatesta domination. Behind its ancient walls, in its churches and narrow streets, precious works of art can be discovered, and traditional crafts such as pottery can be observed.

Parco San Bartolo

Distance from Cattolica: 5 km
By car: take the Statale Adriatica (SS 16) until Gabicce, that it constitutes the Door North of the Park.

The natural park of San Bartolo is a territory rich of fauna. Characterized from much species of birds and, in spring, from the arrival of butterflyes. The park introduces truly evocative natural aspects like the flowering of ginestre and the charatteristic coast.
